Green Dog, LLC ("Green Dog", "we") is a dog walking and pet care company in Madison, Wisconsin. This page explains what we know about you and your pets, why, who else sees it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
What we collect
- When you contact us. The contact form on this website opens your own email with your message filled in. Nothing you type in it is stored on this website. We keep the emails, texts and calls you send us.
- When you become a client. Your name, address, phone numbers and email; how to get in (keys, door and garage codes, alarm and entry notes); your pets' names, care notes, feeding, medicine, health and vet details; emergency contacts; and the emergency vet spending limit you choose when you sign our service agreement.
- From our visits. When each visit happened and who did it, the note and photos your walker or sitter sends you, and anything that needs your attention.
- Billing. What you owe, what you have paid and how. We do not keep card numbers.
Why we use it
To care for your pets, plan and staff the visits, send you notes and photos, bill you, reach you or your emergency contact, and get your pet to a vet in an emergency. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for anyone else's advertising.
Who else sees it
- Our walkers and sitters see what they need for the visits they do: your address, how to get in, and your pets' care notes.
- Our Client Portal at greendog.leashopshq.com runs on LeashOps, made by Maude LLC, which stores client and visit records for us and does not use them for anything else. Its own privacy policy is at leashopshq.com/privacy.
- Your vet, if your pet needs care and we cannot reach you.
- The law, if we are required to share something by a court or the police.
Photos of your pets
We may share photos of your pets on our social media and website unless you tell us not to. Just let us know and we will stop, and take down what we can.
This website
This website does not use cookies or advertising trackers. It loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser asks Google for them. Links to YouTube, Instagram and Facebook take you to those sites, which have their own policies.
How long we keep it
While you are a client, and afterwards for as long as we need it for our tax and business records. When you stop using us, we return your keys and you can ask us to delete your home access details and pet records.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to delete it. Most of it you can also see and change yourself in the Client Portal. Children under 13 should not send us information.
